Sliding Door Wardrobe Replacement, Banstead

The problem:

The customer already had some fitted wardrobes within the bedroom but these were old and the internal layout did not meet their current needs. The existing wardrobes had hinged doors which were worn out and required replacing. The combination of the two factors meant the customer wanted the wardrobes to be replaced completely to make the most use of the space, rather than just having the doors replaced.

 The Process:

Julia attended the home and discussed the the customers' requirements, including what they wanted to store within the wardrobes and what look they wanted within the room. As part of the free design consultation, Julia explained how we could help, what colours were available and the various internal storage options available to them that might match their needs. At the design consultation, the customer also decided that they would like matching bedside tables and so this was added into the design.

Following the design consultation, Julia provided a quotation for the customer, including hand drawn images, so the customer could visualise their new wardrobes. Once the customer had received the quotation and drawings, they confirmed they were happy with the design and Julia then returned to confirm their choices and carry out a full survey.

The work was scheduled to take 3 days to complete and on the first day, the old wardrobes were removed, all the new items were delivered and the internal structure of the wardrobes was installed. This work continued into day two, with the internal work being completed and the bedside units installed. On the 3rd day of the project, the wardrobe doors were installed. Completing the look of the project.

During day two a problem was found with the side panels of the wardrobe not lining up with the wall, due to it not being straight and therefore a further solution needed to be found. This involved supplying additional panels to address this issue. Because of the problem, the wardrobes were usable at the end of the third day but required some additional work.

Once the additional panels had been delivered, they were then installed, completing the project to an excellent finish and at no additional cost to the customer, who was extremely happy with the completed project.

The solution:

The completed wardrobe provided a bright modern look to the room with storage that worked for the customers' needs. The internal part of the wardrobe was completely bespoke and made to make the most use of the space available, including the area across the chimney breast. The wardrobes provided a mix of shelving and hanging rails and the matching bedside tables added the finishing touch to the room. The completed project not only looked amazing, but was also extremely practical and well thought out, providing the customer with a great looking room and he was extremely happy with his new wardrobe.

All our customers are asked to complete a checkatrade review and an internal feedback form when we have completed their project. This customer completed a checkatrade review and said "The company sought to resolve any issues and came up with solutions. The end result meant a high quality finish and superb product. They kept to their promises and delivered. A measure of a great company and would not hesitate to recommend".
